2024 Scholarships Recipients Will Be Announced During FOL Board Meeting
Applicants for the scholarships exhibit qualities such as character, integrity, and honesty, serve as positive role models, and actively participate in community service. The FOL Board determine the recipients of the 2024 scholarships, which will be announced during the board meeting on June 10, 2024.
THE WILF & RUTH SEAMAN SCHOLARSHIP ($1500)
Paying tribute to Wilf Seaman, the former principal of Coronado High School, and Ruth Seaman, a devoted kindergarten teacher and library volunteer.
THE SUSAN STARK SCHOLARSHIP ($1,500)
Honoring Susan Stark, a dedicated reader, globetrotter, and volunteer at the Second Hand Prose bookstore.
THE JIM AND BETTE SHERMAN FINE ART - TWO SCHOLARSHIP ($1,500 EACH)
Acknowledging Bette and Jim Sherman, residents who advocate for art education for children in Coronado.
