Something New for Friends This September

​

Join us for our first Friends Member Meet & Greet on Saturday, September 19, from 6:30–8:30 p.m. at the Coronado Public Library—an evening to meet fellow Friends, enjoy art and entertainment, and see your support at work throughout the Library.

 

The Spreckels Reading Room will feature contemporary art curated by longtime Coronado resident Prince Kofi Sefa-Boakye, showcasing the work of Ghanaian artist Paul Adjei. Artwork will be available for purchase, and one piece has been generously donated, with 100% of the proceeds from its sale supporting a Library-selected cause.

 

Families can visit the Children’s Library for pizza, a balloon artist, temporary tattoos, and activities, while guests throughout the evening can enjoy pizza, light refreshments, and a special spoken word performance.

 

And we’re saving a few surprises for later. Stay tuned as we introduce our spoken word artist and share more about what’s planned for September 19.
